American Institute of Organbuilders
A professional association of builders, technicians and suppliers providing the opportunity for meetings and the sharing of ideas and information.

Associated Pipe Organ Builders of America
A professional association of North American firms engaged in building pipe organs. Membership is by invitation and firms must maintain a commitment to the standards and guidelines of the organization.

International Society of Organbuilders
The International Society of Organ Builders (ISO) was founded in 1957 and consists of a large group of organ builders from around the world organized for promoting communication, mutual respect and the sharing of knowledge among organ builders.

My Father’s Letters: The Pipe Organ in Western Canada
A collection of letters written to and from Stuart Kolbinson, edited by his daughter that relates her father’s life-long passion for the organ, especially Casavant Opus 301 (1907) that he rescued from Grace Church in Winnipeg and moved into his home.

Canadian International Organ Competition
Held for the first time in October 2008, the triennial Canadian International Organ Competition will promote the organ as a major instrument in this country’s musical heritage by stimulating the career of young organists within the framework of the only international organ competition in the Americas in 2008.

Concours d’orgue de Québec
The website for the organ competition held every three years in Québec City on Casavant Opus 2557 (1959) at Église Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens.

Orgue et Couleurs
Held in Montréal each fall, Orgue et couleurs was founded in 1999 to give a wide audience the opportunity to hear the 1914, four manual, eighty-four stop Casavant organ at Saint-Nom-de-Jésus. The festival presents a variety of musical activities to showcase the organ drawing artists from the international cultural scene in an innovative program of activities including a unique improvisation match of two teams of three organists competing complete with referee and voting by the audience. Orgue et couleurs now organizes various satellite activities that take place throughout the year.

McGill Summer Organ Academy
The McGill Summer Organ Academy was founded in 1997 by its artistic director, John Grew, organist and chair of the organ area of the Faculty of Music at McGill University. The Academy is held every two years, when participants from all over the world gather in Montreal for two weeks to attend workshops and concerts given on a wide variety of organs.

Sewanee Church Music Conference
Each summer since 1951, the beautiful campus of the University of the South has been home to the Sewanee Church Music Conference where choir directors, singers, organists and clergy from parishes of all sizes meet for a week of activities led by some of the finest teachers from Europe and North America in a program of continuing education in liturgy and music.
