Selected Instruments from the Past
The division into the following periods of time has been made in order to organize the information presented here. Artistic activity moves forward in time and change happens gradually over a period of years rather than upon some fixed event or specific date. During the first one hundred years of organ building at Casavant Frères, the artistic direction has been under the leadership of four individuals, each of whom has contributed not just to specific instruments but also to the collective knowledge and experience that forms the bedrock of our work today.
