Our first contacts with Casavant Frères dealt with topics like acoustics, the style of worship and congregational singing, and, of course, specification of the instrument. Personal interaction with Casavant personnel allowed us to communicate our wishes, desires and requirements. Casavant understood very well what our Reformed congregation needed, with its lusty unison singing. These initial discussions were critical for the success of our project.
The installation of our new organ was completed in June 2008, leaving the entire congregation with a memorable experience. It was a true privilege to work with professionals from Casavant. We are very excited about the versatile instrument with possibilities and potential that are much larger than we ever imagined; with an appearance that blends well in the sanctuary, that is contemporary and has great symbolic significance.
We received an instrument that exceeded our expectations in sound and is more than capable to support the congregational singing. The warm, full but crystal-clear sound is powerful but remains intimate. The Inauguration Recitals have resulted in praise and exclaim from performers and listeners alike.
Our congregation is thankful to the Creator for this organ and for the people that designed, crafted and voiced this instrument, to His glory. Soli Deo Gloria
